Financial Policies

We’re here for you. We’re here for your family. We’re here for everyone regardless of your age, race or to what tax bracket you belong. Community Health Net's offices accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Medicare and Medicaid.

When mailing your payment, please make checks payable to Community Health Net. They may be mailed to: Community Health Net, P.O. Box 644404, Pittsburgh, PA 15264-4404 Prompt payment is appreciated. There will be a $25 surcharge for any returned checks.

Insurance

All forms of private insurance, HMOs, PPOs Medicare and Medical Assistance are accepted. Community Health Net accepts more than 500 types of medical insurance.

Discount Fee Program & Self-Pay

Community Health Net maintains a Discount Fee Program specifically to help patients without insurance Any patient is welcome to apply for the Discount Fee Program through the Finance Department. Those who qualify will receive reduced rates based on income and family size. Appointments are required.

Hospital Services

For all services provided in the hospital, Community Health Net will bill your insurance. The responsible party is required to pay the remaining balance not covered by your insurance.

Homeless Patients

Patients who are part of the Health Care for the Homeless Program and who are certified as unable to pay for services will receive medical health care, dental and vision services at no cost.

Collection Agency

Community Health Net will generally turn all accounts over to a professional collection agency if payment is not received or arrangements are not made. Once the account is turned over, Community Health Net has no control over further collection efforts.
