Edward C. A. Hennis, M.D., is a Primary Care Physician with a specialty in Sports Medicine at Community Health Net. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from New York University and received his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine. Dr. Hennis completed his residency in Internal Medicine at West Penn – Allegheny Health Consortium and pursued fellowship training in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Hennis has extensive experience in sports medicine, providing medical coverage for high school football, rugby, and major athletic events, including the Pittsburgh Great Race and the Special Olympics. His research interests include concussion management, and athlete performance optimization. He has contributed to medical education through lectures, publications, and quality improvement initiatives.
