Community Health Net, the leading Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving the Lake Erie region, announced the launch of its new website at communityhealthnet.org. The new contemporary design features a patient portal, a health library, a learning center, and health and fitness tools.
“The launch of our website is an outcome of our strategic marketing plan,” said Craig Ulmer, CEO of Community Health Net. The new website is mobile-ready and ADA compliant. It provides ease of access to medical, vision, dental, pharmaceutical, and other services, ensuring that no digital barriers exist for community members to access care. “This effort provides a clear path for our community members to get pertinent information on our services, locate a provider nearest them, and fulfill their health needs.”
Patients of Community Health Net who use the new website can access their past medical history, make appointments, check lab work, request prescription refills, and communicate with their provider through a private, secure, and encrypted portal. Additionally, the site provides detailed information on the organization’s providers and staff, links to locations via Google Maps, and detailed information on Community Health Net’s Ryan White Part C HIV/AIDS, Health Care for the Homeless, and Outreach and Enrollment programs. The site will facilitate a News and Events blog with health tips and information for the community.
“When people know the facts about their health, they can take practical steps to keep their families healthy. So, clear and concise information is important,” said Ulmer. The Patient Education Library, a component of the new design at communityhealthnet.org, provides abundant information on health topics and symptoms, in addition to interactive tools to help people address issues such as – but not limited to – smoking cessation, depression, and obesity. “Our ability to provide vital tools and qualified health information to the patient population we serve is critical to our community’s well-being and vitality.”
